An encouraging word for the body of Christ September 19,2014!

Psalm 126 (NIV)

When the LORD restored the fortunes of  Zion, we were like those who dreamed.   Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”  The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.  Restore our fortunes, LORD, like streams in the Negev.  Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.  Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.

Many of us in our region would agree that we have been in a season of captivity, a refining winter season. However I believe that our seasons have changed and we are entering into a season where dreams are about to unfold. We are coming out of captivity and the Lord is leading us into a new land. When I look at the body of Christ I see a people who have been refined and are ripe to see the Glory of the Lord breakthrough. We are entering a season that will be marked with joy; there is a joy in breakthrough and in seeing the prayers and prophetic words that we have long believed for come true.

In this season our mouths will be filled with laughter; the laughter that comes with seeing loved ones returned to the Lord, the laughter that comes with financial breakthrough, the laughter that comes when our sick bodies become well. God is about to fill our mouths with the testimonies that we have been labouring in. The struggles of the past few years will be our greatest stories as we declare what the Lord has done in bringing forth breakthrough.

Financial breakthrough is also coming to a church who has learned to die to selfish dreams and will be used to channel finances to bring forth the kingdom purposes, the dreams on God’s very own heart.

I believe the intercessors who have laboured over the harvest, and who have fought the battles will receive the reward of the Lord in this season. Those who sow in tears will reap in songs of joy indeed. The Father is about to visit those who have laboured with the warfare of the last season. There will be heavenly visitations where God will overshadow his people. The weary will be restored, and those who have been tired in the battle will be refreshed and refired to enter into a new season in the Lord.
